We are thrilled to announce that two of our doctoral students have been awarded prestigious scholarships in recognition of their outstanding research potential. Daniel Romm has been awarded the highly competitive 3-year Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship. His research will focus on sustainable and equitable transportation, specifically utilizing micromobility to enhance regional transit connectivity in smaller population centres. Priyanka Verma has received a scholarship from Fonds de recherche du Québec – Société et culture. Her work will investigate the sociodemographic variability in the use of shared micromobility services in Montréal. These achievements underscore the significant contributions Daniel and Priyanka are making to the fields of spatial data science and transportation studies, and highlight the impactful research being conducted in the lab.
