Our paper entitled "A Linked Data Driven Visual Interface for the Multi-Perspective Exploration of Data Across Repositories" was accepted at the Workshop on Visualization and Interaction for Ontologies and Linked Data (VOILA 2016) in conjunction with the International Semantic Web Conference (ISWC 2016). This paper was authored by Gengchen Mai, Krzysztof Janowicz, Yingjie Hu and Grant McKenzie.

POI (Point of Interest) Pulse is an interactive application that shows the pulse of user behavior in the Greater Los Angeles area. Visualized through interaction with approximately 170,000 points of interest (e.g., Bars, Hospitals, Parks) rendered through over 12 million tiles, the map displays both typical activities patterns in the region as well as real-time social behavior.

I just got back from presenting our paper entitled "Geo-privacy beyond coordinates" by Grant McKenzie, Krzysztof Janowicz and Dara Seidl at AGILE in Helsinki, Finland. AGILE stands for the "Association of Geographic Information Laboratories in Europe" and the annual conference took place June 14-19 in Finland this year. A great time was had by all.
