We are happy to announce that the lab was just awarded a grant from the Réseau Québec Maritime (Quebec Maritime Network) to aid in the development of a decision support tool for managing the speed of ships on the St. Lawrence. The grant is lead by Innovation Maritime and our team will be responsible for working with community groups along the river to better understand citizen concerns and perceived impacts of fast moving commercial vessels travelling down the St. Lawrence river. The project will involve public participatory spatial analysis and community engagement mapping.
